As a strong people manager, you lead the 5 team leaders on various production units and 5 Reliability & Maintenance Engineers (RME). The team leaders manage around 60 skilled technicians in total.

You are responsible for the technical management of the production machines and industrial automation within the production Units. You are not responsible for the design and realization, but the input from support is indispensable for a good design of new installations.

As a support service, you and your colleagues ensure the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and optimization of the installations at these sites.

You are good at building, developing, and maintaining close collaboration not only with the production heads but also with the engineering department.

• Oversee maintenance strategy and management activities.

• You create a strong collaboration with the internal partners. You make their mission and strategy your own, accompanying and advising them in the search for solutions that meet their needs. You also seek the right balance between price, service and quality.
• Monitor maintenance status with KPI and ensure timely delivery.
• Determine equipment, materials and manpower required to complete production.

         Specific challenges:

• Increase the efficiency of the BU by providing optimal equipment and maintenance
• Build partnership with the BU based on trust, skills, right people and committed strategy
• You will be part of the project team for the construction of a new packaging plant

• Engineer in a technical specialty, with min. 10 years of experience in a managerial position
• Proven experience in Maintenance (curative, preventive, predictive) & asset management, ideally in the food industry
• Competence in the automation with a passion for Packaging Equipment
• You are an expert in organization and planning, you have experience in process-oriented entrepreneurship
• Ability to work in a matrix environment where Maintenance is a support service
• Having a strong technical profile, you are persistent in convincing others in a consensus culture
• You have a strong analytical mind that allows you to easily distinguish the essential from the secondary. You know how to set the right priorities and always keep an eye on the big picture
• Excellent team player. You also enjoy sharing your knowledge with your colleagues. This makes you a reliable and mature partner for your stakeholders
