Maintenance Manager

Our client is part of a large international group since 2016, and has more than 45 years of experience in the manufacturing of isothermal doors and accessories, industrial insulated sandwich panels and fire-resistant rock wool panels. They are one of the most important suppliers of building systems for conditioned industrial environments.

While the process for a permanent recruitment of a Maintenance Manager is ongoing they are looking for a Maintenance Manager ad interim.  

 

Function description
  • Report to the Manager Operations.
  • First point of contact for optimal functioning of the maintenance team who work in 2 shifts.
  • Follow predetermined processes and procedures and always ensure correct input.
  • Execute the planning and priorities and motivate your team to work on these. Set priorities and communicate these daily.
  • Distribute tasks within the team and supervise correct execution. Coordinate external contractors who work on various assignments.
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance.
  • Manage maintenance spare parts stock to reduce machine downtimes to a minimum and quickly react in case of breakdowns.
  • Administration and management of orders and deliveries of necessary spare parts in collaboration with Purchasing.
  • Assist colleagues who perform preventive and curative maintenance.
  • Escalate persistent problems to the Manager Operations.
  • Lead by example as a natural leader who is often on the shop floor.
  • Take initiative to propose and work out concrete improvement projects for optimizing the machinery.
  • Liaise and consult with managers from other departments.
Job requirements
  • Higher technical degree or equivalent through experience: electricity or electromechanics 
  • At least 10 years of experience in a production environment in a managerial role, preferably in a ‘job shop’ type op industry.
  • Good knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics is a strong plus.
  • Passionate about technology and processes.
  • Quick learner on technical matters with a sense of accuracy and decisiveness.
  • Problem-solver attitude.
  • Hands-on, flexible and stress resistant.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Prioritize safety and quality.
  • Fluent in Dutch with knowledge of French.
  • Flexible to switch to morning or evening in case of emergencies (standard = day shift). 
Offer

An Interim Management assignment for an estimated period of 3-6 months.
