Technical Facility Coordinator Real Estate

Our Client is the real estate division in full growth of a Belgian leading family investment company. Our Client is active in Belgium, Poland, Romania and Germany. It has about 60 professionals active within these countries. This team boasts years of experience and expertise in all the technical, architectural, commercial, financial and legal aspects of project development.

They are currently expanding their facility management team and are therefore looking for an additional experienced Technical Facility Coordinator .

Function description
  • You are responsible for the technical facility management of the existing building portfolio and you work in close connection with - and in consultation of your direct colleagues who take care of the technical project and facility management.
  • You take care of the technical follow-up of the buildings and ongoing projects (e.g. fit-out works for new tenants, implementation of charging stations, supervision of evacuation exercises, ... ).
  • You are responsible for the follow-up and quality control of the maintenance contracts and legal inspections and you are aware of the technical condition of the buildings.
  • You do the follow-up of the curative and preventive maintenance of the buildings and related installations.
  • You monitor, coordinate and organize the maintenance works and renovation projects and report to the Project Manager regarding planning, budget and quality.
  • You prepare the multi-year maintenance budget in close connection and consultation with the technical project and facility management team.
  • You maintain good contacts with tenants, suppliers, utility companies and local authorities.
  • You act in a solution-oriented way in all kinds of technical problems.
  • You take care of price quotations and the preparation of price comparisons.
  • You ensure proper handling at the end of a lease.
Job requirements
  • Bachelor degree, preferably technical direction, or equivalent through experience
  • You have a good knowledge of technical installations (HVAC, electricity)
  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a facilities department
  • You have a keen interest or experience in the technical and administrative management of real estate, and preferably already have an existing network of suppliers and subcontractors related to facility management.
  • You are technically strong and can carry out initial interventions on your own.
  • You demonstrate the necessary drive and sense of responsibility.
  • You can work independently and organized and are willing to perform flexible working hours.
  • You are communicatively strong and like to share your know-how with your colleagues in order to grow them professionally 
  • You have a hands-on mentality and manage to be solution-oriented.
  • Strong knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook is a must.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and French and sufficient knowledge of English.
