Our client is a Belgian SME, active in a niche segment of the B2B food sector, selling their products internationally. They are currently looking for a Production Manager ad interim. You will be in charge of the finished goods production department and your team will consist of around 20 co-workers.

You will take care of a clear organization and planning of all activities, continue to support the implemented working methods and ensure team buy-in and cohesion via excellent communication and people management skills. You will temporarily replace the current production manager who unfortunately has fallen ill for a longer period of time.

Oversee production and workforce planning
Steer the production plan, and timelines according to production specifications.
Plan workflow and schedules for the department.
Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules.
Ensure that finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.
You will report to the General Manager.

Min. Bachelor’s degree, with significant experience in a managerial position
Proven experience in a production environment
Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills
A real team player and excellent people manager who also works well with people from other departments
Hands-on manager, making timely decisions and taking initiative
Working language is French, good comprehension of English is a plus

A full-time Interim Management assignment with an estimated duration of 6 months for an experienced, well-organized and communicative manager, preferably living within the region with commuting time limited to approx. 1 hour.
