SHEQ & Asset Manager

They are currently looking for a SHEQ & Asset Manager for the long term.

You will be responsible for the Asset management of the logistics department in accordance with all internal and external regulations by long term management of the assets. You will also be responsible for the long term management of the installation and infrastructure, determines the scope of maintenance and develops investment projects. Finally you will anticipate on potential problems and take into account the continuous quality and cost efficiency as well as come up with ideas and leads initiatives to change and improve the processes.

Function description

1. Process management, with focus on SHEQ – supporting the overall asset integrity, the safe and sustainable operation of the plant in full compliance with all external and internal regulations

  • Promoting and upholding the safety performance in accordance with behavioral and process safety directives:
  • Compliance with and promotion of different behavioral and process safety initiatives and measures - initiation and monitoring / tracking.
  • Incident investigation (focus on assets): Initiation, participation, co-ordination and monitoring / tracking of actions
  • Performance of internal audits and plant tours (KWM, housekeeping, assets, …)
  • Support of: process optimizations and analyzes of process upsets; development of installation safety and environmental concepts; projects / measures to ensure compliance and to improve performance related to SHEEQ.

2. Asset Management – Supporting the efficient filling and shipping of products in the required amount and quality and in accordance with all internal and external regulations

  • Responsibility for the integrity, the conservation of value and the further development of the assets
  • Accountability that all inspection activities are performed in accordance with internal and external requirements
  • Responsibility for initiating and monitoring of maintenance and inspection activities in co-ordination with other departments
  • Responsibility for determination and further development of maintenance, spare parts and turnaround strategies in co-ordination with other departments.
  • Monitoring, reporting and improving of maintenance and asset integrity related KPI’s, follow up performance LSP
  • General leadership of CapEx projects (initiation, execution, follow-up), management of asset related projects
  • Responsibility that all relevant asset related documentation is up to date and available within DMS or equivalent documentation systems
  • Development and maintaining of asset related training documentation

3. Cost Management in accordance with all internal requirements and regulations

  • Responsibility and management of non-manpower fixed costs, especially maintenance costs (Budget preparation, Monthly tracking, Budget compliance & Optimization)
  • Supporting the management of energy & utility costs
  • Responsibility and management of logistics CapEx (Budget preparation, Monthly tracking, Budget compliance & Optimization)
Job requirements
  • Preferably a Master degree in electromechanical engineering with a minimum of 3-5 year experience in a technical function, or equal by experience.
  • Additional knowledge and experience in maintenance & reliability engineering is preferred.
  • Asset management: deep understanding concerning conservation of value of assets and maintenance strategies, OEE
  • Applied project management skills
  • SHE, understanding of (process) safety requirements
  • Basic financial knowledge (budgeting and tracking of costs)
  • Leadership practice, social competence, good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex situations and complex operational issues, analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team, good organizational skills
  • Change agent – effective at engaging others in change agenda, driving changes
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English
