Project Manager Construction

Our Client is a steel construction company active in the domain of bridges, steel structures, iron works and hydraulic works. They are currently looking for a Project Manager Construction to manage their client projects.

Description de la fonction
  • You draw up the schedule for the various stages of your projects (studies, drawings, purchasing, workshop production, site work) and are the driving force behind compliance with this schedule.
  • You play an active role in analyzing the potential risks present at the various stages in the progress of an order (studies, drawings, worksites) and draw up procedures and instructions to eliminate or manage the risks identified.
  • You plan and prepare your worksites: planning internal and external labor requirements, defining material, machine and handling requirements, transport planning, opening, follow-up and closing meetings.
  • You will establish budget monitoring tools, ensure the administrative and financial monitoring of sites and implement corrective measures if necessary.
  • As the interface between the company and your clients, you will ensure regular monitoring of project progress (in particular financial monitoring - progress reports, statements and claims).
  • You will be in close contact with the various internal departments and make proposals for improvements.
exigences de l'emploi
  • You have a degree in industrial or civil engineering (mechanical, electromechanical, materials, construction, etc.) or have achieved this level through practical experience.
  • You have a solid experience managing metal fabrication projects. 
  • Experience in construction is a must, preferably in steel construction.
  • Autonomous, rigorous and methodical, you have a sense of responsibility and are recognized for your ability to manage projects and priorities.
  • As a good communicator, you know how to unite teams and various stakeholders around the projects to be carried out, and you enjoy communicating with the outside world.
  • You are familiar with the Office suite (Excel, Word, MS Project) and have basic knowledge of AutoCAD or AdvanceSteel.
  • You are fluent in French. Knowledge of English or Dutch would be an advantage.

As Project Manager, you will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for a portfolio of projects. Your role is to coordinate all the stages of the projects assigned to you across the board, while meeting deadlines, quality and safety requirements and budgeted financial results.
