Our client is is part of a large international group since 2016, but has more than 45 years of experience in the manufacturing of isothermal doors and accessories, industrial insulated sandwich panels and fire resistant rock wool panels. With an annual turnover of over 50 million euros and its new modern production facility, they are one of the most important suppliers of building systems for conditioned industrial environments.

They have recently implemented a new ERP, some of the Operations team members are new to the organization and the company is in the process of hiring their permanent Operations Manager. As a consequence operational efficiency is below expectations and they want to address the most urgent issues with an experienced Operational Performance Manager. We are looking for an Interim Manager with in-depth experience in project management in an industrial environment, continuous improvement projects and ERP adoption.

You coach the different direct reports of the Operations Manager (planning, production, logistics and maintenance), as well as the heads of departments in production (foremen and shift leaders) in order to ensure the correct, qualitative and safe execution of the orders and avoid waste and rework
You will be heading up 3 key projects aimed at improving overall operational performance: people, ERP adoption and production efficiency.
You are very quality conscious and define with the team short-term initiatives to improve current processes .
As a experienced coach you create buy-in for the changes and make sure that the agreed actions are implemented on the work floor.
You have an eye for optimization regarding the machinery and the logistic flows. You take the initiative to propose and develop concrete improvement projects.
On a regular basis you consult with fellow leaders of the other departments.

You have a higher degree in a technical direction or are equivalent through experience and have substantial managerial experience in production.
You have a good technical insight that you combine with excellent people coaching skills.
You have had previous experience with operational performance and improvement projects
You have experience with lean manufacturing.
You have knowledge of ERP and experience with digital production and are able to coach teams into the proper use of those tools and systems
You are fluent in Dutch and French.
You are flexible, stress resistant and a go-getter.

A challenging parttime (50%) interim management assignment for a period of 3-6 months with a market leader in its segment, with the objective of turning around a difficult situation, ensuring that operational targets are met and eliminating the current costs related to non-quality.

You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director of the company.
