You ensure together with the production planner a correct production planning in the complex environment of the department “Refining and Hydrogenation” that is ‘batch driven’ as we mainly produce ‘tailor made’ products according to the requirements agreed with our clients . Together with the production planner you ensure a weekly production and needs planning in function of the high quality requirements and timing proposed by the customer. You review and refine the essential KPI's and follow them up.
You are a pivot between R&D, purchasing, sales, production and logistics, across the whole organization. You organize a smooth flow of communication and reconcile the divergent interests.
You will develop together with all planners and local stakeholders (sales, production, logistics, lab) new strategies for better stock management and production planning
You are thoroughly familiar with existing production and planning processes, which tend to be more comparable to those in chemical plants than in regular food production in view of the refining and hydrogenation processes that are involved.
You improve on the planning with the company's own tools (interfaces and SAP) and help manage stocks of raw materials, intermediate products, auxiliary raw materials, bulk and packaged end products.
You have previously been involved in the implementation of complex MRP tools in SAP and are able to take the lead in the new SAP MRP that is being put in place. You will be a key user for SAP and will lift the use of the MRP to a higher level.
You are able to identify critical points in the planning and production process and suggest improvements to reduce complexity and increase output/man-hour.
You are familiar with highly complexity planning for a production system that is essentially customized for major clients. On the other hand, you have experience with reorganizations within production units and can contribute to their successful implementation. Planning activities are currently still spread across the different production units. The intention is to make planning better coordinated. Therefore, you are able to eventually manage a 'central' planning team of 4-5 planners.
