Expansion Manager

You manage the full expansion process—from initial site prospecting through to the signing of agreements—while building and maintaining strong relationships with property owners and key stakeholders. Your goal is to help develop an optimal store network in line with our national expansion strategy.

• Actively prospect new sites and development opportunities in East and West Flanders.
• Proactively approach and negotiate with property owners, developers, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with municipalities, architects, advisory bodies, neighbouring parties, lawyers, and notaries.
• Negotiate lease and purchase agreements with property owners.
• Manage and coordinate the entire permit and approval process.
• Prepare financial feasibility studies and detailed project planning.
• Compile comprehensive project files and present and defend proposals internally.
• Monitor lease terms within your region and initiate renewals or renegotiations in a timely manner.
• Work closely with Expansion Managers from other regions, Construction Managers, and colleagues from other relevant departments.

• You preferably hold a Master’s degree or equivalent through relevant professional experience.
• A Postgraduate Degree in Real Estate or an Executive Master in Real Estate Management (MRE) is a strong asset.
• You enjoy working in a project-based environment and easily build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• You are a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate effectively with internal and external partners through an open and constructive approach.
• You are able to align people and connect differing interests.
• You possess excellent negotiation skills and are capable of reaching balanced, win-win agreements.
• You adapt your communication style easily to different audiences and situations.
• You work in a hybrid setup, with regular travel across East and West Flanders, and your main base at our head office in East Flanders.
• You have excellent command of Dutch, and a good working knowledge of French and English.
