You coordinate the work and strictly monitor quality, costs, and scheduling, from the initial concept through to completion. You ensure that all agreements are adhered to.
You are responsible for coordinating tenders and contract negotiations with contractors, architects, and suppliers.
You report on the progress of your project to the relevant stakeholders (Director of Construction, project team, Sales department, etc.).
You serve as the central point of contact for all construction, renovation, and infrastructure matters assigned to you. In doing so, you work closely with our external and internal partners.
Depending on where you live, you will work from headquarters in East Flanders or one of the regional offices, but you will frequently travel to stores and construction sites in the Flanders and Brussels regions.

Ideally, you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Architecture or Civil Engineering. Experience in supporting construction projects is an advantage.
You are thoroughly familiar with mechanical and electrical systems. Experience with structural stability is a plus.
You have knowledge of and/or an affinity for IT.
You speak and write Dutch and French very well, with one of these being your first language and the other being fluent. You also have a good basic knowledge of English.
You have strong organizational skills. You always maintain an overview and know exactly what needs to be done in the short and long term.
You combine strategy with a hands-on approach.
A changing environment motivates you, but you are not put off by administration, budget planning and budget management.
You have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
You are sociable and communicative, and do not shy away from any challenge.
You are flexible and available to work throughout Belgium.

Our Client, an international retailer, is looking for a Construction Manager ad interim, responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects within the provinces of East and West Flanders and Hainault. In doing so, you focus on optimizing the branch network in line with the national strategy.

A full-time 4 - 6 months Interim Management assignment with a possibility for an extension of the duration.
